San Diego, CA (February 22, 1999) - Michael Lewis, owner of AutoCon Motorsports, announced the addition of two new drivers for the BFGoodrich Tires Trans-Am Series. Newcomers to the series, Tomy Drissi and Mike Davis will be making their debut at Long Beach Grand Prix in AutoCon Mustang Cobras. Both drivers are champions in Vintage racing and are looking forward to the new challenges.

"Both Tomy and Mike have shown well in pre-season testing" expressed Lewis. "We look forward to seeing Tomy make a run for Rookie of the Year, and Mike could surprise a few people as well."

Tomy Drissi, 39, has signed on for the entire '99 season and will be in contention for Rookie of the Year honors. After years of Vintage Racing, he made the decision to compete in the legendary American muscle car series. "With Trans-Am making such a come back in popularity, I am fortunate to have this opportunity, not to mention working side-by-side with Michael Lewis. I am ready for the challenges ahead and can't wait to be lined up on the grid in Long Beach." Off the track, Drissi is President and founder of Drissi Advertising in Hollywood, CA. His company designs, prints and manufactures four color point-of-purchase advertising for consumer products and major motion pictures.

Mike Davis, CEO and founder of Applied Computer Solutions of Huntington Beach, CA, will be competing in selected events this year in preparation for a full Trans-Am campaign in 2000. The part-time schedule is designed to allow Davis to transition from a successful vintage racing background into the highly competitive Trans-Am series. Davis commented, "With all the history behind the Trans-Am series, it's a dream come true to participate". Davis will be sponsored by Applied Computer Solutions, a premier system integrator of enterprise computer solutions and one of the top 25 fastest growing VARS nationwide.
