SUPER GT's opening official pre-season test took place on Saturday and Sunday at Okayama, with 40 of the 43 cars that will contest the 2022 season in action.
The two-day test marked the first occasion this year that all 15 GT500 runners have shared a track, joined by 25 GT300 cars - with only the Tsuchiya Engineering and Max Racing Toyota GR Supras and the Inging/Cars Tokai Toyota GR86 absent.
Setting the pace in the GT500 class was the #36 TOM'S Toyota GR Supra driven by reigning champion Sho Tsuboi, who followed up his clean sweep of the Suzuka Super Formula test earlier in the week with the fastest times on both Saturday and Sunday in the car he shares with Giuliano Alesi.
In GT300, JLOC Lamborghini man Takashi Kogure was fastest on Saturday - and overall - while Kohta Kawaai topped the times on Sunday aboard the Saitama Toyopet Green Brave GR Supra.
