Motegi - With a seventh place today in the eighth and final round of the Japanese Super GT championship at the Motegi circuit, Dutch racing driver Carlo van Dam and his Japanese team mate Takashi Kogure secured sixth place in the final 2012 standings with their Honda HSV-010.

“We started from fifth place here today, after yesterday in the dry qualifying sessions things went pretty well in terms of handling and overall speed”, Carlo said.

“Today, however, it rained and on our rain tyres we simply had very little grip. I even went off once, but subsequently we gained back some ground and finished seventh.”

Despite this race at Motegi being the final of the 2012 Super GT championship, Carlo’s year is not over yet, as on Sunday November 18 he will also participate in the annual end of season Sprint Cup at the Fuji circuit.
