VERNON, NY - The New Utica-Rome Speedway in Vernon will be sending out its 2000 season point fund money shortly following the upcoming Holiday Season.

"We will be sending the point money out shortly after Christmas," said Track Promoter Eric Kingsley. "Unfortunately, the payoff will be nearly 50% less than last year because of all the rainouts we had this season. We had intended to have a banquet this year, but we just could not do it losing all those shows."

Speedway management is currently looking at ways to increase the point fund payoff for 2001. One of the possibilities being explored is a special month long raffle with Utica-Rome racing collectables and memorabilia.

In addition, speedway management is currently looking for more 50/50-ticket sellers for the 2001 season plus concession stand workers.
