VERNON, NY- For the second consecutive year, Utica-Rome Speedway will pay nearly $30,000 in point fund money to the top 10 drivers for the 2005 season. Special thanks again go to the Mirabito Fuel Group for their continued contribution to the 358-Modified point fund at the Utica-Rome Speedway.

In 2004, newcomer Stewart Friesen came in the speedway with the Madsen Motorsports team and by season's end; he collected the 358-Modified track championship and the $8,000 top prize from the lucrative point fund. Also remaining intact is the payout for the remainder of the top 10 point finishers with second place receiving $6,000. Third through fifth will receive $4,000, $2,500, and $2,000 respectively. A healthy $1,500 will go the sixth place finisher with the remaining top 10 finishers receiving $1,300, $1,200, $1,100, and $1,000. Overall in 2004, nearly $50,000 was awarded in point fund and contingency awards to all divisions at the season ending banquet.
