Hampton inks Eaton; Team to debut at IRP

Charlotte, NC-Mike Hampton is pleased to announce that Eaton Corporation will be a major sponsor of the Spencer Motor Ventures No. 26 Pontiac Grand Prix running the 2005 USAR Hooters Pro Cup Northern Series. The first race for the Eaton car will be the Lucas 200 at Indianapolis Raceway Parkway on May 14-15.

"Running in the United Speed Alliance Racing series as a Rookie of the Year candidate is the realization of a dream. Racing has been my passion since I was 6-years-old. This would not be possible without the support of Eaton Corporation as a major sponsor. Both Carrier Corporation and Eaton have supported my Allison Legacy and INEX Legends car racing for the past three years. To have them continue to move up the racing ladder with me is a very important step in my career. I am pleased and honored to have their support and will do my best both on and off the racetrack for these great companies" stated 19-year-old Mike Hampton as he prepares for freshman year final exams at Clemson University. "I am looking forward to the race in Indianapolis and those to follow during 2005, and I invite Eaton's customers and employees to follow our progress by attending the USAR Pro Cup events and watching them on television and on-line at www.mikehamptonracing.com."
