USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series Featured This Weekend At South Boston Speedway
SOUTH BOSTON, VA--.The stars and cars of the Northern Division of the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series will be in the spotlight at South Boston Speedway on Saturday night, April 14, with the running of the Farmer's Foods 250.
South Boston Speedway's first Saturday night racing event of the season will get the green flag at 7 p.m.
A 110-lap race for South Boston Speedway's Barkhouser Late Model Stock Car Division will follow the running of the Farmer's Food 250. "We're looking forward to an exciting night of racing," said South Boston Speedway General Manager Cathy Rice.
"The USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series has always put on a tremendous show here at South Boston. That, coupled with the excitement that we've already had in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model Stock Car Division this season should produce a truly great night of racing for our fans."
Advance adult general admission tickets for the Farmer's Foods 250 are priced at $15 each and will be on sale until 5 p.m. on Friday, April 13. Tickets on race day will be $20 each.
The advance tickets may be purchased at the speedway office any day Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tickets may also be ordered by calling 877-440-1540. Tickets for youths ages 10-15 are priced at $10 each. Suite tickets are also available for $40 each. Those tickets may also be ordered in advance.
Kids ages nine and under will be admitted free with a paid adult. On race day, grandstand gates will open and ticket sales will start at 3 p.m
The Farmer's Foods 250 USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series race will be the first event of the season for the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series Northern Division drivers and teams. Benny Gordon won last year's Northern Division title. Clay Rogers and Shelby Howard won last season's two Pro Cup Series races at South Boston Speedway.
Activity at South Boston Speedway begins Friday, April 13 with a practice session for the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series drivers from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.
On Saturday, Pro Cup practice will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with Pro Cup qualifying set to begin at 4:30 p.m. Late Model Stock Car Division drivers will also practice and qualify Saturday afternoon. South Boston Speedway will also hold its first Fan Appreciation event Saturday night. Prior to the start of Saturday night's pre-race activities fans being able to go down on the track, see the cars and meet the drivers.
