DANNY JACKSON GETS SET FOR THE 2008 RACING SEASON
Second Season In Hooters Pro Cup for Jackson
As any driver, Danny Jackson is excited to get behind the wheel of his Hooters Pro Cup car to begin the 2008 season. Jackson will take the track again on April 19th as the Northern Series gets under way at South Boston Speedway in Virginia.
Jackson finished tied for 13th in overall points in the Northern Division in 2007. Jackson's best finish was 5th at Salem Speedway in 2007. Jackson finished 28th and 26th in last year"s events at South Boston. 2007 was also Jackson"s rookie season in the series. Jackson looks to improve on his performances at South Boston and plans to run the Northern Series in 2008.
Jackson will begin the season racing with support from Redbank Transport and Lykins Companies, both companies in the Cincinnati area. Redbank Transport is a trucking company serving the Cincinnati area and Lykins Companies a petroleum marketer serving the Midwest.
"I am excited to get back behind the wheel. We have worked hard during the off-season to get the car ready. I learned a lot from last season and took that knowledge into the off- season to make some necessary changes to the car. I was fortunate to work with Lonnie Rush, Jr. quite a bit since last season ended. He gave me a lot of good advice on these cars and how to set them up."
"I am looking forward to this season. Last season did not turn out exactly how we wanted, so I am hoping that this year I can turn it around and be a competitor each race."
This season, Jackson will also be racing as part of "The Clean Team." Jackson will race under the Greased Lightning product for the 2008 season. "The Clean Team is a great program that I am happy to be apart of."
