USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series highlights April 17 action at SoBo

SOUTH BOSTON, VA. -- The stars and cars of the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series will invade South Boston Speedway on Saturday, April 17, for the running of the Lucas Oil 250, presented by Virginia is for Lovers.

The three-race program will have a special starting time of 5 p.m.

In addition to the featured attraction of the evening, the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series 250-lap race, other events planned include a 110-lap race for the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series Late Model Stock Car Division and a 50-lap shootout for the touring Allison Legacy Series.

In the Late Model Stock Car Division, the field of competitors will be trying to slow down Denny Hamlin of Midlothian, Va. The current Late Model points leader has won three straight events.

Timothy Peters of Providence, N.C. has three straight runner-up finishes and sits second in the division standings.

The Allison Legacy Series will get the day of racing started on Saturday with the green flag falling for the 50-lap race at 5 p.m.

The Lucas Oil 250, presented by Virginia is for Lovers USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series race will get underway at 7 p.m. and will be followed by the 110-lap Late Model Stock Car Division event.

Grandstand gates will open on Saturday, April 17, at 3:00 p.m. with qualifying time trials beginning at 2:45 p.m.

Advance adult general admission tickets, priced at $15 each, will be available at the South Boston Speedway office until 5 p.m. on Friday, April 16. Adult general admission tickets will be priced at $20 on race day.

Youth general admission tickets will be priced at $10 each and reserved seat tickets will be $30.
