Spartanburg, SC (July 29, 2002)-- Don Satterfield, owner of Don Satterfield Racing and a competitor in the USAR Hooters ProCup Series has formed a new partnership for his team and the 2003 season. Brian Hudson, owner of M.R. Enterprises, Inc. of Goldsboro, NC, will become the driver of the Satterfield-prepared cars next season.

"I wanted to get with a car owner and driver who knows how to do things the right way and I have found that in Don Satterfield Racing," said Hudson."He has a lot of experience in various types of cars. Don has raced Winston Cup, Busch and ProCup cars throughout his career. His knowledge of the cars and his experience on the track is something you can't get just anywhere and we are very happy to have Don Satterfield as part of our team."

Hudson has raced in various asphalt-track racing series and also on dirt tracks in series like the IMCA and Hav-A-Tampa. While the plan is to concentrate preparing for 2003, the team could attempt some races before the end of the 2002 race season.

"Right now we plan on attempting to run the ARCA race at Lowe's Motor Speedway in October," said Hudson."We are not ruling out running a ProCup race or two this season, but we want to do things the right way and we don't want to jeopardize Don while he is running for points this season."

For Satterfield the partnership looks to be just what the veteran is ready for in his career.

"I have had great support from a lot of people, especially Hawk Saw Blades," said Satterfield."I look forward to the opportunity to help Brian Hudson and M.R. Enterprises compete. He and his sponsor have the resources to get some new equipment for our efforts next year."

Hudson ended his announcement with a vote of confidence in Satterfield, something the new driver felt was one of the biggest reasons he chose to team with Satterfield.

"I know Don Satterfield is an honest man and he will put his best resources into the team," added Hudson."He will put the money into the team instead of going out and buying himself something for his personal use. He is dedicated to the success of our season in 2003."

Hudson mentioned that Lowe Lug Nuts will also be on board the team next year.

"Mike and Pat Lowe have a great product and we look forward to having them on board with our team next year," added Hudson."They have a great product and they already have an established relationship with the Series and its competitors so we look forward to a great season."
