Hooters Pro Cup American 200 Fast Approaching "The Rock"
Children Under 12 Admitted Free With Paid Adult

ROCKINGHAM, N.C. (September 16, 2008) -- In just six short weeks from now, the green flag will wave for the American 200 on November 1st, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. The race is the final of the season for the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series and will crown their 2008 champion as well as Rookie of the Year.

The American 200 race weekend kicks off on Friday October 31st with practice, qualifying and a pit crew competition to complete the day. Tickets for Friday are only $10 for adults and free for kids under 12 with a paid adult.

Race day will be kicked off again with Rockingham Speedway offering pit tours for the general public starting at 9:30 a.m. and ending at 11:00 a.m. If you would like to tour the pits be sure to arrive early and proceed to the crossover gate at the start-finish line. The cost is only $10 per person to get this special, up close look at raceday preparations being made by the teams.

The drivers will sign autographs in the grandstand area at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, pre-race ceremonies begin at 12:30 p.m. and the field will take the green at 1:00 p.m. Tickets for the American 200 are $28 for a reserved seat in the frontstretch grandstands and $25 for a reserved seat in Turns 1 and 2. Again children under 12 years old will be admitted FREE with a paid adult!

Camping will also be free for the American 200 in all of the outside lots at the Speedway. Camping is only $100 for each Thunder Alley RV space that overlooks the backstretch.
