Team Looking For New Driver For No. 81n USAR Hooters Pro Cup Entry

Mooresville, NC (August 10, 2008) -- Pete Knight Racing today announced driver Travis Miller was no longer with the team. Miller had wheeled the No. 81n PKR Chevrolet Monte Carlo in seven USAR Hooters Pro Cup events this season. His best finish of the season -- a seventh -- came at Salem (IN) Speedway in June.

"Travis did a good job for us and we wish him the best," said PKR general manager Wes Ward. "He had a good opportunity here and we hope to make that same opportunity available to another quality driver in the near future."

Pete Knight Racing is a two-car operation that is facilitated out of the team's shop/office complex in Mooresville, NC. In addition to the 81n USAR entry, the team fields the No. 81s Sears Auto Center/Knight's Companies Chevrolet Monte Carlo with driver Mark McFarland in USAR competition.

McFarland -- who has posted three victories, two pole positions, and six top-10 finishes in 10 USAR events this season - is currently leading the USAR Southern Division regular season championship standings.

According to Ward, PKR is looking to add a driver for the remainder of the 2008 season and is pursuing options for a USAR Hooters Pro Cup second-car driver development program for 2009.
