Johnny Rumley Fourth at Motor Mile

Johnny Rumley, driver of the Lucas Oil Products, Boyd Sult Racing Chevrolet No. 8, drove to fourth-place finish in the July 17 running of the USAR Hooters ProCup North Division Lucas Oil 250 presented by Shelor Outdoor Motor Mile/Ranger Boats at Motor Mile Speedway in Radford, Va.

But Rumley, who started on the Advance Auto Parts pole, wasn't satisfied.

"Honestly, we had a bad night," Rumley said after the event. "We got lucky and got fourth. We just didn't have the car right. It's a super racetrack, but it got away from us. We were pushing, loose, you name it. We've got something going on, but we'll find it."

Rumley, who leads in ProCup North points, pit early enough in the race to have winning track position.

"Mark (Huff, crew chief) made a good call," Rumley observed. "He had to, the way the car was handling. We weren't going to do anything but back up, so we came in and made some adjustments. It helped, but it was just one of those deals where you get a little bit off and never find it. We'll get it back."
