Fogleman 6th in Championship Points after Myrtle Beach.

Durham, NC, - Jay Folgeman not only finished seventh this weekend at Myrtle Beach Speedway, he also advanced one spot in the Championship points and is currently tied with Mardy Lindley, who shows in 5th spot at 511 points.

Fogleman had his work cut out for him in this caution-ridden event as he skillfully dodged numerous pileups to bring the Lucas Oil products Ford home with a minimal amount of sheet metal damage. Fogleman rolled off 21st, but by the mid-point of the race was running in the top ten. After pitting on lap 149, the Durham, NC driver began a hard charge to the front.

Fogleman's single mishap occurred later in the race when a lapped car got into the #4 Ford, pushing the Lucas entry into the turn three wall. Although Folgeman quickly recovered and put the Lucas Ford back in contention, there was some damage to the nose. "We feel fortunate to have finished seventh with all the accidents that happened tonight. We missed the set-up and had problems keeping forward bite all evening long", said Fogleman. This was the team's second Top Ten finish in the Championship Series.

The Lucas Oil team will be testing at Peach State Speedway this week in preparation for the third Championship event in Jefferson, Georgia on November 2.
