John Kinder of Greenville, SC brought his #08 Chevrolet home to an impressive 9th place finish Saturday night in the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series season opener. This first race of the season was held at the USA International Speedway in Lakeland, FL and had over 50 cars attempting to qualify for the 40 car field.

After starting the race 18th, Kinder started to fall off the pace. "Our first set of tires made the car tight and we were losing too many positions on the track. It was kind of early in the race, but we had to make a pit stop. My crew guys had a great stop and got me out really quick, they are the best!" said John.

After that pit stop John kept the Chevy in the top 5 and top 10 the rest of the night. Kinder also held the second position for many laps in the race. When it was all said and done he brought his chevy home to a 9th place finish. "We had a top 5 car, but a skip in the carburetor kept us from really getting a good run on the leader. This is such a competitive series with many talented drivers, so I am happy to take home a top 10 finish." Kinder said.

"I want to thank and MultiMedia for all of their support. They are great sponsors and I am glad I could give them a top 10 finish to start off the year." Said Kinder.

The next stop for John Kinder and the PowerBase Motorsports team will be March 25 at the Florida Speed Park in St. Augustine, FL.
