Jay Fogleman Has Good Lakeland Run

Jay Fogleman drove his JFco Motorsports Lucas Oil Products Ford No. 4 to a top-five run in the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Naturally Fresh 250 presented by Advance Discount Auto Parts Southern Division race at Florida's Lakeland International Speedway on June 6.

The Durham, N.C., racer qualified second, but when the scheduled Saturday night race was postponed until Sunday afternoon, it posed a challenge to Fogleman and his team.

"We were all set to race in cool conditions," Fogleman revealed. "Then when we had to run in the afternoon heat it caused me to get way too loose. The team did a great job making adjustments on the car in a number of pit stops, and in the end we got a solid top-five finish."

Only 19 points behind Pro Cup's Southern Division leader, Fogleman sits third in the current standings as he prepares to head to his next race in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

"Our team is great at adjusting the car for the race conditions," Fogleman said. "That's why we're as close as we are in points, and why we're going to win our share soon. I'm looking forward to going to Myrtle Beach."
