Final results still do not show the true accomplishments of Miller Motorsports in the first five races of 2006 season.

Working with Mother Nature was just one of the obstacles to over come this weekend, the other was knowing there was not going to be much practice at a track Travis Miller has never turned a lap on. With the practice being shortened to one hour, Miller Motorsports was scrambling to get Travis comfortable at a track that is anything but comfortable. Travis showed once again by staying in the top ten during practice that he adapts well in unfamiliar territory.

In an effort to get the Naturally Fresh 250 started before the next rains came, the field was set by driver points. Rolling off in 12th position was as good a starting position as you could ask for at a track you have never competed on. During the first stages of the race Travis was able to make some great moves to position himself nicely in the top ten, while taking care of his equipment for the long race ahead. Unfortunately on lap 79, while Travis was passing Woody Howard for 6th place, Woody moved to the high line with the leaders and got into Travis's left rear corner spinning him in front of the field. The number 76n Arena Racing/RaceTalklive.com Ford Fusion sustained damage to the front end and caused the Miller Motorsports entry to retire early.

"Unfortunately the end results of each of Travis's race does not show what this team has been able to do on the track" said owner Matt Miller, "Travis has been able to race his car into the top ten solidly each race, but has not been able capitalize on his efforts due to either bad luck or part failures that have shortened more than it's share of races this season.

You can watch the "Naturally Fresh 250" Wednesday Night at 5:00 pm est. on the Speed Channel.

The Miller Motorsports racing Team's next event is the Naturally Fresh 250, May 27th at Jennerstown Speedway in Jennerstown, PA. The race will be televised on Speed Channel May 31, 2006 at 5 pm and a rebroadcast on June 2, 2006 at 12 noon.
