Johnny Rumley Wins Jennerstown

Johnny Rumley drove the Boyd Sult Racing Lucas Oil Products Chevrolet No. 8 to victory May 29 at Jennerstown (Pa.) Speedway in the USAR Hooters ProCup North Division running of the Lucas Oil 250.

The North Carolina racer started the day on the Advance Auto Parts pole with a qualifying lap of 19.576 seconds at 95.995 mph, led 122 laps on his way to victory and padded his series point lead.

"The car was good all day," Rumley said. "I really didn't know what to expect, because we were trying to get laps on the track. I think the key to that place is getting off of turn two and heading down the back chute."

Following Rumley's mandatory stop, during which car owner and crew chief Mark Huff made some adjustments, the race went green until the checkered flag.

"It was fantastic that we didn't have a caution to close the field up after the restart," Rumley said. "Our Billy Hess chassis and Kowalski power worked great; we really have to thank those guys."

Huff added, "And we really have to thank Lucas Oil for supporting our racing efforts. Without their help this win wouldn't have been possible."
