NASHVILLE, TN (October 9, 2004)--Steve Wallace, the 17 year-old racing phenom and son of NASCAR legend, Rusty Wallace, claimed his 2nd UARA-STARS series victory of the year tonight, winning the Full Throttle Racing Parts 150 at Music City Motorplex.

The win marks the younger Wallace's second victory in three starts and marks another milestone in his quest to follow his father's footsteps to NASCAR stardom. His father had notable success at Nashville, as he once captured a victory in the All American 400, one of the true crown jewels of short track racing. Steve's previous series win came at Bristol Motor Speedway, a track where the elder Wallace has also experienced phenomenal success.

Steve Wallace's Maurice Petty-powered Dodge Intrepid started from the eighth position and won the race in somewhat dominant fashion. His proud father was simply ecstatic.

"I can't believe it; that's his second big win of the year. I'm so proud of him. He won at Bristol and now at Nashville. Those are two tracks where I've had a ton of success over the years. In fact, his setup was the one that I used when I won the All-American 400 back in the day. He just really seems to take well to the bigger, faster tracks. He's going to be a good one, that's for sure. It's been really fun watching his progress."

The younger Wallace was somewhat in shock following his second victory of the season.

"Man, I just can't believe it. To come in here and beat the guys that run here every week is incredible. My guys and I work so hard on these cars and this just really makes it all worth the effort. Nashville is such a famous track and I am really honored to have won here. Dad won the All American 400 here, so that just makes it even sweeter. This is awesome; I just have to thank our sponsors, including Blueflame Authentics. This is their third race with us and we've won two of them. This is awesome."

Wallace continues to lead the UARA-STARS series rookie of the year standings. He returns to action on October 23rd, for the UARA-STARS series season finale at Coastal Plains Raceway in Jacksonville, NC.
