Hudson, NC - Although Tri County Motor Speedway released its 2003 schedule last fall the speedway has updated the schedule to announce several special events. While the amount of race dates remain the same and on the same date, the speedway has scheduled special events for each of its weekly divisions this season.

Each of the speedway's five divisions will have a minimum of one extended lap event during the 2002 season. These special events will give the fans, competitors and sponsors an extra opportunity to enjoy racing at the speedway.

"We believe that every division should have an opportunity to showcase themselves as the "main event" during a race night during the season," said Tri County Motor Speedway General Manager Jimmy Wilson. "We believe every class running at Tri County Motor Speedway is important to the success of the track and we want to ensure that by giving each division a special race. It is important for our racers to showcase themselves in the spotlight and we feel this is a way we can do that for everyone involved this year."

Each division, with exception of the Tucson Late Model Division, will have a 50-lap race scheduled during the year with additional purse money provided for the event. The Tucson Late Model Division will have a twin 50 lap feature and he Coca-Cola 100 race on August 8th as part of Coca-Cola Family Night.

Tri County Speedway renews agreement with Coca-Cola

Tri County Motor Speedway is pleased to announce that Coca-Cola Bottling of Hickory has renewed its partnership for the 2003 season. Coca-Cola is the official soft drink of Tri County Motor Speedway and has also increased its involvement to sponsor Coca-Cola Night on Friday, August 8th featuring the Coca-Cola 100 for the Tucson Late Model Division.

"We are very pleased to have Coca-Cola on board for this year," said Tri County Speedway General Manager Jimmy Wilson. "One of the first items we did when USAR took over operations of the speedway was to ensure Coca- Cola continued to be the official soft drink of Tri County Motor Speedway. We are happy to renew our partnership and look forward to a great night of family fun during Coca-Cola Night on August 8th."
