The season opener for the AC Delco/Murray's Iceman Series was run Friday, May 28 at Toledo Speedway with Dave Kuhlman taking the laurels. Joining the traveling series veteran in victory lane were Scott Selmi (Street Stocks), Randy Cronenwett (Figure 8s) and Kevin Burnheimer.

Scott Selmi led 18 laps of the 25-lap Street Stock feature to record his first career feature event. Steve Chartrand led the first seven laps but faded to seventh by the checkered.

Kevin Burnheimer triumphed over Mo Vockaert in the Factory Stock 20-lap feature.

Randy Cronenwett fended off the race long challenge of Dennis Whisman to win his second Figure 8 feature of 1999.
