RECORD MODIFIED ENTRIES FOR PRO-CUTS WEEKEND

FORT WORTH-DALLAS (February 25, 2005) -- Six states are represented in the record number of modified stock car pre-entries already received for the March 4-5 Pro-Cuts Texas World Dirt Track Championship at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track.

Teams from Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas, New Mexico and Arkansas have already submitted entry forms to participate in the modified segment of the Pro-Cuts Texas World Dirt Track Championship. In addition to two nights of modified competition on the four-tenths mile clay oval, the O'Reilly SUPR Late Model Series will present a pair of complete late model programs. NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series star Ken Schrader will participate in both evenings of late model racing.

A total of 57 modified teams have entered the weekend activities that offers $2,500 to Saturday night's feature winner. Troy Taylor, a winner of multiple track championships throughout North Texas, leads the local entries. Billy Melton, a 2002 modified winner at the Dirt Track, will head up the entries from East Texas. Modified entries will also be accepted at the gate on race night.

Schrader will be challenged in the O'Reilly SUPR late model events by defending series champion Rob Litton, 2003 SUPR title winner Kenny Merchant and three-time champion Doug Ingalls. Saturday night's O'Reilly SUPR late model feature winner will collect $3,000.

The Pro-Cuts Texas World Dirt Track Championship is unique for motorsports fans, offering free tickets to one evening of racing with a qualifying purchase at participating Pro-Cuts salons. Spectator gates will open at 4 p.m. both Friday and Saturday for the Pro-Cuts Texas World Dirt Track Championship. Racing action will begin at 5 p.m. nightly.
