FORT WORTH-DALLAS (Feb. 27, 2001) - Fans will get the opportunity to see the reconfigured grandstand at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track Thursday night, March 8 when an Open House/Practice session will be held from 7 - 9 pm. Drivers of the Pennzoil World of Outlaws sprint car series will be practicing in anticipation of the March 30-31 Southern Bleacher Classic.

The Dirt Track grandstand has been altered since the end of the 2000 racing season to improve the sightlines for fans. The seating angle from row 12 and higher has been increased to give spectators a better view of the Dirt Track action.

"We are inviting all race fans to come to the free practice session and see the dramatic changes that have been made to the grandstand," said Eddie Gossage, speedway general manager. "The alterations to the grandstand will make attending Dirt Track events even more enjoyable for our fans."

The Pennzoil World of Outlaws teams will be preparing for the Southern Bleacher Classic on the four-tenths mile clay oval. All of sprint car racing's stars will be appearing for the RPM Week - Texas event including defending Pennzoil WoO champion Steve Kinser, Sammy Swindell, Danny Lasoski, Mark Kinser, Stevie Smith, Dale Blaney, Jac Haudenschild, Joey Saldana and Donny Schatz.

Tickets for the March 30-31 Southern Bleacher Classic will be on sale at the Open House practice session. Tickets may also be purchased daily at the speedway ticket office, by calling (817) 215-8500, online at www.texasmotorspeedway.com and at Ticketmaster locations.
