Steve Dale Motorsports strikes partnership with Camp Fire USA Georgia Council
FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. (March 21, 2002) - Steve Dale Motorsports announced today that Camp Fire USA Georgia Council, a not-for-profit youth development organization, is partnering with the No. 83 Chevrolet Monte Carlo for the 2002 American Speed Association (ASA) season. Third-year Steve Dale Motorsports driver Joey Clanton will pilot the No. 83 with Bond Suss, a newcomer to the team, calling the shots as crew chief.
The team is fired up to have the youth-oriented organization on board. Entering its third season in the ASA Series, the Steve Dale Motorsports team's goals are not only to have fun and win the 2002 ASA Series Championship, but also to help promote the mission of their new partnership.
"Camp Fire USA is an organization dedicated to developing the leadership, teamwork and self-reliance skills of today's young people with programs starting with children as young as pre-kindergarten," said team owner, Steve Dale. "The No. 83 team strives to improve our leadership and teamwork each day, so hopefully the two organizations will be able to learn from each other."
Camp Fire USA Georgia Council is equally excited about their new business venture with Steve Dale Motorsports. The association's goal with its new motorsports program is to increase the participation of children of all ages in Camp Fire USA.
"The American Speed Association and Steve Dale Motorsports offers our group a new platform to deliver the messages of Camp Fire USA. With our participation with the No. 83 team, we hope to increase awareness of our organization to young men and women across the United States," stated Camp Fire USA Georgia Council CEO, Karen Sullivan.
The No. 83 Camp Fire USA Georgia Council Chevrolet Monte Carlo will make its debut at the ASA season opener on March 24 at the USA International Speedway located in Lakeland, Florida. Look for the Steve Dale Motorsports car to be at the front of the pack - the team finished fourth in last year's event. The event will be broadcast live on The National Network (TNN) beginning at 2:00 p.m. EST.
