Francis wins 50-lap Hobby Stock feature at Farmington.

FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (July 6, 2002) Karl Francis of Fredericktown held off a talented group of Hobby Stock drivers led by Chuck Adams, Randy Forster and Kenny Harris to with the 50-lap Hobby Stock feature Saturday night at the St. Francois County Raceway.

"It was one great race to watch," said St. Francois County Raceway promoter Larry Minkel. "Those guys put on one heck of a show." Adams finished second with Forster third, Harris fourth Matt Eaton fifth and Mike Francis sixth.

Karl Francis won the first heat with Jeremy Greenwalt second and Eaton third. Chris Boyd won the second heat with Dave Crawford second and Harris third. Adams won the third heat with Mike Francis second and Billy Mayberry third.

Tommy Worley Jr. of Bismarck was the Sprint car feature winner, snapping Timmy Montgomery's back-to-back feature winning streak. Timmy finished in second place with Jay Landolt third, Steve Short fourth and Joey Montgomery fifth. They were followed by Ronnie Standridge, Bob Thoman, Larry Dudley, Rod Crabdree and Jeremy Standridge.

Casey Barnhouse won the first heat race with Dudley second and Brett Sammons third. Worley Jr. won the second heat with Greg Burns second and Timmy Moss third. Landolt won the third heat with Short second and Timmy Montgomery third. Landolt won the dash with Worley second and Dudley third. Ronnie Standridge won the "B" main.

In the Modified class feature, it was another photo finish, but this time it was Danny Resinger driving his #15 to a narrow victory over Tim Radford and Timmy Hill. Radford took second with Hill third, Pete Koenig fourth and Kenny Kennedy fifth. They were followed by Billy Smith, Chris Boyd, Mike Crader, Matt Zimmerly and Jim Fisher.

Radford won the first heat with Bob Waterhouse second and Koenig third. Fisher won the second heat with Hill second and Smith third. Resinger won the third heat with Jeff Lebaube second and Kasey Nations third.

After having his winning streak snapped last week, Lance McKinney returned to his winning ways Saturday night by winning the Multi feature. Brad Loyet finished second with Matt Dotson third, Junior Ferguson fourth and Joey Boyd fifth. They were followed by Shawn Merritt, Paul Thompson and Kevin Bess.

Tommy Boyd won the first heat with Joey Boyd second and Daniel Adler third. McKinney won the second heat with Merritt second and Derek O'Dell third.
