Justin Fisher Shows Blistering Speed at Mesa Marin!
Bakersfield, CA - April 23, 2005 -- Justin Fisher and JF Racing Inc. rolled out of the trailer for practice on Friday with instant speed and setting the fast time for the day. "The set up was perfect right out of the box! My guys gave me a great truck." Fisher continued, "We learned a lot from Vegas. We had some problems, but showed we are going to be one of the teams to keep an eye on."
Saturday presented cool weather and great conditions for all of the trucks in the ASA Speed Truck Challenge Series. Justin was 9th in line for his qualifying run and was able to set a new track record of 20.22 seconds on his second lap. "The truck just kept getting better and better with each lap, I wish we had one more lap, I'm sure we could have gone even faster" - Justin Fisher, JF Racing Inc.
With high hopes for a strong finish in the main event, Justin would first run the "Trophy Dash", start from the pole and show the Mesa Marin crowd what the Iron Eagles Cycles, Arrowlane Racing truck had to offer. In a six-lap shoot out one never knows what will happen, but today, it was Justin leading from Start to Finish and pulling away each lap. "I know Justin has it in him to be a great driver and we just couldn't ask for anything more right now. Now it's time to put our heads down and get ready for the main event" -Jeff Catlin, Lead Mechanic, JF Racing Inc.
The ASA Speed Truck Challenge Series remains focused on putting on an exciting show for their fans, and in doing so each pole winner roles a pair of dice to see how the field will be inverted. The fastest qualifier always starts back in the pack and has the task of working through the field. As a true rookie of dice throwing, Justin rolled an eleven and so designated his starting position. With the drop of the green flag, Justin began working his way up to fifth place by lap twenty five. Unfortunately, while under yellow and trying to avoid liquid on the track, Justin received a puncture in his right rear tire. Even with the hard work of his crew, he we would go a lap down and have to start all over and hope for some better luck. At the restart Justin and his Iron Eagles Cycle, Arrowlane Racing truck began picking off one position at a time until an engine problem arose causing his truck to slow dramatically. Now working to just keep the truck alive for points, Justin was collected in an accident on the exit of turn two ending his night and damaging the right front corner. "I just want to thank everyone for all their help. We all put a very good team effort in tonight. We have the speed now it is time to put the whole package together and start getting some wins. These guys are good out here and I know it won't be an easy task, but with the help of my guys, Iron Eagle Cycles, Arrow Lane Racing, Maxima Oils, Racer Promotions and Stonehenge Designs, I know we can get the job done." -Justin Fisher, JF Racing Inc.
