Allison Legacy National Touring Series visits Southern National Speedway on Saturday Night

SALISBURY, NC (April 4, 2002) - A 60 Lap National Race will be held at the 4/10 mile Southern National Speedway in Kenly, North Carolina on Saturday, April 6th. This marks the first time the Legacy cars will be running at the speedway. A regional race is scheduled for later in the season.

-SANCTIONING BODY-CompCar of NC

-NOTE- A two lap qualifying run will set the field
Cars are expected to complete the entire race on one tank of fuel (4.8 gallon fuel cell)

-Chad McCumbee, 17years old and the 2001 National Champion leading the 2002 Points Race, is a favorite to win the event

-Kati Leonard, 16 years old from N.Augusta, South Carolina is the only lady driver pre-entered at this time
