Donley wins at South Boston.

Jeramy Donley in the #5 Lacy J. Miller machine was the race winner at Big Daddy's South Boston Speedway starting from the Pole Position in a lucky draw. The July 3rd Holiday race was an ARCA Pre-race event marking the first time the Allison Legacy Series has visited the historic South Boston Speedway. Sam Yarbrough #27 finished second coming from the seventeenth starting spot. Rookie Chase Miller #15 in the Team Ford of Marietta finished third after starting in the nineteenth position and was the Hard Charger of the Race. Rick Boyer #04 from Blairsville, Pennsylvania took the fourth spot and National Points Leader Chad McCumbee #20 was fifth.

Steve Hatley in the #41 Sherwood Ward, Tower Fastners car finished his best ever in a national event taking the seventh place finish. Out of the twenty cars starting the race, Florida driver Dennis Archinal #71 was the only car to leave the field because of a front stretch spin damaging his car after hitting the inside wall. Making their first start in a National race were Connecticut drivers Mark Bogue #23 and Mike Lehoux #33 who finished in seventeenth and nineteenth place.

McCumbee continues to lead the National Points race with 722 points. Miller follows only 13 points behind with 709. The next National Race for the Allison Legacy Series is at Peachstate Speedway in Jefferson, Georgia on July 13th in conjunction with the Hooter's Pro-Cup Series.

NOTE: Race Winner Jerame Donley's dog locked the family out of the race truck while the motor was running and air conditioner going on high. With some coaxing, the dog was able to unlock the door. Race Drivers do have smart pets!
