Tampa, Fl -- With only four races left on the 2001 SARA Executive Racing School Late Model series, the chase for the championship rolls into Desoto Speedway on Saturday Night, October 13th, for a 100-lap event paying 2000.00 to the winner. Four drivers are in the race for the championship and one is looking to repeat as the champion and also become the only two-time title winner. The Top four drivers are separated by only 133 points in the tightest points battle in the six-year history of the series.
Bobby Beauchemin of Davie, Fl leads Jason Boyd of Orlando, Fl by only 75 championship points going into round number 13 at Desoto Speedway. Beauchemin, the defending series champion will look to increase his lead in his quest for the first repeat champion. Beauchemin won the last SARA 100 at Desoto Speedway making it 3 wins in a row in SARA competition, and will be looking to make it 4 wins in a row and 6th of the season.
SARA and Desoto Speedway drivers expected to be on hand are Wayne Morris of Mulberry, FL. Along with the SARA Executive Racing School 100, The Desoto Speedway Legends, Out-Law Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Street Stocks and Mini Stocks will all be in action. The pit gates will open at 3:00 pm, Hot Laps schedules for 4 to 6:00 pm, Time Trials will take place at 6:30 pm and the first race is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
