FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (April 5, 2002) Following months of preparation and work the Racing Association of Mini Stocks (RAMS) will finally get a chance to show off their stuff when they travel to the Fredericktown Raceway on Friday, April 12th for a non-points show.

The 2002 RAMS Point Series (sponsored by Boyer Siding of Potosi, Bail Bonding Associates of Park Hills, Convenience Barn of Farmington/Desloge and the SEMO Motor Speedway in Sikeston) officially opens Saturday, April 13th at the St. Francois County Raceway in Farmington.

The four-cylinder, rear-wheel drive cars and light trucks will take part in a 10-race point series with the winner taking home at least $500 (however it appears that final total could be as much as even $1,500).

May 27 - Auto Tire & Parts Racepark
June 8 - I-55 Raceway
June 21 - Doe Run Raceway
July 12 - Doe Run Raceway
July 26 - Doe Run Raceway
Aug. 9 - Doe Run Raceway

During the Saturday, May 4th races at the St. Francois County Raceway, the RAMS will be conducting the 50/50 drawing that evening and they will be giving away a boys and a girls bicycle plus numerous other attendance prizes. The RAMS, in cooperation with Not Just Comix of Park Hills, will be giving away new comic books to fans in the main grandstand area that night. Plus, look for the debut of Racin' Teddy!
