"None of these rules are hardly going to add any kind of expense to the vehicles they are just geared at making the entire class just a little safer for everyone involved," said RAMS President Jeff Mills. "We're trying to keep this class as affordable as possible, but safety is a priority with us."

Rule changes for 2004 included:

2. Exhaust from the car must go in any direction except straight down.
3. Exhaust pipes that travel through the passenger compartment must be shielded (including fuel lines).
4. One inch lug nuts must be used.

Two additional Safety Committee members were also added as J.J. Johnson and Phil Hannah were added to the committee to join Kenny Harris, Garey Cruse and Kevin Buckley.

The next RAMS meeting will be held at 6 p.m., Sept. 7th, at Bailey's Pub and Grill in Farmington.
