ST JOHNS, PA. Cal Snyder held off the charging Eric Beers and point leader, John Markovic, earning the hard fought victory in the modified feature at Pocono Mountain Speedway.

Snyder grabbed the lead from the outside of the front row. Russ Frantz powered his way past pole-sitter, Matt Hirshman, for 2nd. Tim Henry and Adam Horwith rounded out the early 4th and 5th.

Three cautions on laps 8 and 9 sent a number of cars to the pits, including Horwith, who was able to continue. Snyder, Frantz, and Hirshman held onto the first 3 spots, with Andy Szapacs and Beers now in 4th and 5th. On lap 11, Beers ran the high side on Szapacs to take over 4th. Beers continued his march forward, picking off Hirshman on lap 17, and then Frantz on the next lap to challenge the leader.

Farther back in the pack, Markovic was making his move to the front. On lap 17, Markovic slipped inside Szapacs to take over 5th, and by the time they reached the next yellow on lap 23, he was up to 3rd.

Another caution on lap 25 again brought the cars together, with Snyder still out in front, followed by Beers, Markovic, Frantz, and Hirshman. The field went on a 4 lap green flag run, with Beers all over Snyder, but just not able to find an opening.

The final caution fell on lap 29, setting up a one lap shoot out for the win. As the field circled the track to take the green, Snyder played a cat and mouse game with Beers down the back straight, and allowing Snyder to get a jump on the field. Beers recovered with a half a lap to go, and dove under Snyder coming out of 4. Snyder held on for the victory by less than a car length. Beers had to settle for 2nd, with Markovic, Frantz, and Hirshman rounding out the top 5.

In dominating fashion, Paul Koehler Jr. ran away from the rest of the field, easily taking the win in the Late Model Feature.

Kevin Kromer grabbed the early lead from the outside of the front row, while pole-sitter, Dean Kline Jr. held on to 2nd. Koehler Jr, Doug Yanders, and Rick Collins rounded out the top 5. On lap 2, Koehler Jr. took the high side around Kline Jr. to take over 2nd. Immediately, Koehler Jr. put the pressure on teammate, Kromer for the lead.

By the time they reached the first yellow on lap 8, Koehler Jr. was leading and pulling away. Only one other caution marred the event, falling on lap 11. Once back under the green, Koehler Jr. again put some distance on the field. Kromer and Yanders had a great battle going for 2nd. Kromer held the spot, but on lap 19, Yanders completed the pass to take over the spot.

Koehler Jr. opened up a straight way lead, and taking the win. On the final lap, Kromer found his way back around Yanders to take 2nd, with Yanders settling for 3rd. Collins and Hamilton ran alone and unchallenged for 4th and 5th.

Another dominating performance by Frank Reakes, had him visiting victory lane in the Pro Stock Feature. Jim Buzinski inherited the lead with only a couple laps remaining in the Street Stock feature, netting his 4th win in a row. Mark Corbisiero claimed his 2nd Factory Stock win of the season.
