ST JOHNS, PA. Mike Adams had the good fortune to sit on the pole for the season ending Modified Fall Championship Race at Pocono Mountain Speedway. Adams held off all challengers, leading flag to flag for his second win of the season.

The race was going at a good pace until halfway. Adams led the way to a string of five cautions starting on lap 17.

That caution involved a number of cars that were running just outside the top 5, including the top 2 in points, Eric Beers and John Markovic. There was no change in the top 5 to that first caution, with Roger Heffelfinger Jr, Jim Hauser Jr, Russ Frantz, and Adam Horwith following Adams.

The final caution of the race fell on lap 22, with Adams and Heffelfinger Jr still the top 2. Frantz, Horwith, and Matt Hirshman rounded out the top 5.

Over the long green flag run, Adams put some distance on the rest of the field, as Frantz battle with Heffelfinger Jr for 2nd. On lap 28, Horwith spun on his own, and got straightened out before the yellow dropped, but now at the back of the pack.

Adams lead the way to the checkered, picking up his second win of the season. Frantz got around Heffelfinger Jr on the final lap, finishing 2nd and 3rd,with Hirshman taking 4th. Andy Szapacs crossed the line in 5th, but lost the spot after the post race inspection, allowing Chris Ammon to move up to 5th. Beers battled back from being involved in the lap 17 caution, to finish 6th and clinch the season title.

The Late Model Fall Championship was a thriller at the finish. The final race of the evening had a total of 6 cautions over the first 8 laps and most of them involving multiple cars. Mike Radocha Jr lead the way through the yellows, followed by Paul Koehler Jr. Dave Christman moved up to claim 3rd, followed by Dan Ballentine Jr and Jerry Brightaupt. The final caution came out at the halfway point of the race, with Radocha Jr still out in front, and followed closely by Koehler Jr. Ballentine Jr took over 3rd, moving Christman back to 4th, and Brightaupt followed in 5th.

Over the final 15 lap run, Radoch Jr and Koehler Jr battling for the lead. With two laps to go, Koehler Jr took advantage of lapped traffic to move to the inside of Radocha Jr, and take over the lead.

Koehler Jr put a little breathing room on the rest of the field when he took the checkered flag, leaving no doubt he was the division champion. Radocha Jr held off Ballentine Jr to finish 2nd, while Christman and Brightaupt rounded out the 5.

Tom Spencer Jr won his 3rd Pro Stock feature of the season, and a 3rd place finish clinched the division crown for Mike Higgins. Robert Fink was a first time winner in the Street Stock feature. Josh Labatch was the Factory Stock winner, with Paul Frantz taking the season title.
