Path Valley storms cancel June 19 racing.
Spring Run, PA_ Due to severe thunderstorms and flooding rain, Path Valley Speedway Park has been forced to cancel the July 19 Pepsi Race Night seven-feature race.
The entire Pepsi Race Night has been moved to August 23 and will feature the $500 to win V-8 Street Stock feature, the Legends Cars makeup race from May 31, and the special 30-lap exhibition race for the Four-cylinder Junk Cars. In addition to the Legends, Street Stocks and Junk Cars, the mini stocks and four-cylinder thunder cars are also scheduled that night.
The rainout Friday night does not affect the July 20 program that includes the regular karts and quads in the afternoon and then the AMA quad and motorcycle races that evening. Gates open Saturday at 10 a.m. for the kart races and again at 5 p.m. for the separate motorcycle races. This Saturday is the final chance for karters to practice before the July 27 Kart Summer Nationals for lite, medium and heavy karts!
Next Friday night, July 26, Path Valley presents bike races for the kids and the 600 Sprints and 270 Sprints headline the program along with the street stocks, mini stocks and thunder cars.
The Path Valley Speedway Park is located in Spring Run PA a mile north on PA Route 641 from the intersection with PA Route 75, halfway between Port Royal and Hagerstown. It is five miles east from the Willow Hill Exit 14 of the PA Turnpike. The new phone number at the track for promoter Ken Geesey is 717-349-7111.
