Oswego, NY - As has been the tradition, Oswego Speedway will open its doors for practice this Saturday, May 5, a week prior to the 51st season opener on May 12. The practice is open to Oswego's weekly divisions, the supermodifieds (winged and non-winged), limited supers and super stocks.

This year, because of the number of cars involved in both Oswego and ISMA, winged supermodifieds will also be included in the open practice.

The public is invited to come and watch the tuning and testing that teams do before the season's racing. Each and every team that participates is looking to get an edge on their competition by turning as many laps as they can, re-adjusting and tweeking and then going back out on the track to see what works and what doesn't. Concession stands will be open for the fans.

Gates will open at the Port City oval at noon with practice starting at 1 pm and ends at 5 pm. A Sunday, May 6 raindate is slated just in case.

Once again, the fans will be admitted to the grandstand at NO charge. Admission to the pits, due to insurance regulations, will cost $20.00.

Come on out and enjoy this pre-season activity. It's a great way to introduce short track racing to the family and friends. For further information phone 315-342-0646 or check out the website at www.oswegospeedway.com
