Rite Track Racing and Dave Marcis team up for ASA debut
West Chester, Ohio (June 19, 2003) -- Rite Track Racing announced NASCAR legend Dave Marcis and his resort Camp 28 have become an associate sponsor for the No. 75 entry piloted by Darren Jones, who attempts to make his ASA debut at the state-of-the-art Mansfield Motorsports Speedway in the Ohio 250 on Saturday, June 21.
Marcis, who is second only to Richard Petty in all-time Winston Cup starts and holds the record for the most starts in the Daytona 500 has assisted Rite Track Racing as a technical consultant since the inception of the team. This is the first occasion Camp 28 has become a sponsor. What started, as a casual conversation in February when RTR was holding it's annual winter meeting at Camp 28, has developed into reality this week.
"The irony of this is that long before Dave knew me, I used to get excited when he would get sponsorship help. Now he's the one sponsoring me," said Darren Jones.
Jones moved from the dirt tracks to asphalt, competing in the ARCA Truck Series for the past two seasons. He scored to runner-up finishes in 2001 as a rookie competitor. The following season Jones collected his first victory and additionally grabbed two poles, finishing third in point standings. He has also gained experience in go-karts, road racing, modifieds, street stocks and trucks.

The eighth event of the 2003 ASA Racing Series is set for Saturday, June 21 at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway in Mansfield, Ohio. The Ohio 250 takes the green flag at 9 p.m. (Eastern) and will be telecast live on SPEED Channel.
