Donley sails to win at Myrtle Beach.
Jerame Donley in the #4 Lacy J. Miller Machine Co. machine sailed to a perfect win at the beach holding off National Points Leader Chad McCumbee in the #20 car. Donley took the lead on lap fifteen of the fifty lap race staying in front of Rookie Chase Miller #15 in the Team Marietta Ford of Georgia, Sam Yarbrough #27 and Mark Howard #7. Yarbrough driving for Yarbrough & Co. Builders finished in the second spot. Miller was third in front of the fourth place Dale Carnegie sponsored Howard car. McCumbee, who was the Pole Sitter and led the first part of the race, rounded out the top five.
Hard Charger of the Race was Bobby Snow #74, a former marine from Jacksonville, NC who improved his starting position by seven positions. The Rookie of the Race was 15 year old Chase Miller. There were two cautions for 1 lap each caused by spins by Brent Raymer and Kenny Allison on lap 18 and lap 39.
The Allison Legacy Series National Tour goes to Big Daddy’s South Boston Speedway for a Holiday race on July 3rd in conjunction with the ARCA series.
