HASELEU'S WIN AT MIS COULD GIVE MOMENTUM FOR WIR

Monday, August 06, 2007 (Daytona Beach, FL) -- ASA Midwest Tour Touring Star, Nate Haseleu, picked up an exciting win at Madison International Speedway this past Friday night. Haseleu led only one lap but it was the right lap to his win. It was a win that could really build momentum towards the Factory Motor Parts 150 at Wisconsin International Speedway this Tuesday night.

With five laps to go in the Bob Schmelzer 100 lap event, former NASCAR Autozone Elite Division Midwest Series champion, Brian Hoppe, appeared to be on his way to the win as Haseleu was about three car lengths behind him. But, lapped traffic allowed Haseleu to get on his rear bumper with two laps to go.

"The lapped car allowed me to get to Brian's bumper and I was able to get underneath him as we were coming to the white flag," Haseleu recalled. "I got a good run going down the backstretch and went pretty deep in to turn three, we touched a little bit and I beat him to the line. Just excited with the way how it worked out. It's a lot of fun racing with Brian."

Haseleu picked up a $3,000 check for his efforts. But, the win could be a good momentum builder to this Thursday night's event. "Hopefully this will help, anytime you can win, get some luck, getting some things to go your own way, it can help," Haseleu explained. "It's a confidence builder. We have been racing a lot this summer so maybe it will help the guys out too and a win like that will help their attitude and everything else."

Haseleu has experienced success in past events at the half-mile "D" shaped oval. He is looking forward to this Tuesday's night's Factory Motor Parts 150. "I really enjoy the place; I am really looking forward to going there. There are some guys there that will be really tough and I hope we are one of them. It will be a long race, so it will be interesting to see." Haseleu stated.

He also expects the competition to be tough, "We really don't run a lot of 150 laps, so it will probably separate some guys with the extra 50 laps more than we normally run."

Joining Haseleu and the rest of the ASA Touring Stars will be Kyle Busch, Ron Hornaday Jr., Ken Schrader, Dick Trickle and Rich Bickle Jr. as the ASA Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by Echo Outdoor Power Equipment makes its first appearance to WIR for the Factory Motor Parts 150.

Joining the ASA Midwest Tour will be the Big 8 Series. Fans will have the opportunity to see the best Super Late Model drivers compete in a 150-lap event along with the best Limited Late Model drivers compete in a 38-lap feature event all in one night.

Advance tickets and VIP packages are on sale now through the ASA Midwest Tour's website at www.asamidwesttour.com.

Qualifying will begin at 4:00 pm. Autograph session at 5:30 p.m. and the racing action will get underway at 7:00 p.m.
