VERNON, NY-Once again, rain has forced Utica-Rome officials to pull the plug on the racing action scheduled for Thursday, June 19th. The Turning Stone Casino Super DIRT Series (100 laps) for the DIRT 358-Modifieds, along with the DIRT Pro Stocks and Four Cylinder Stocks, were scheduled to be in action. This event was originally scheduled for May 11th as part of the Mother's Day event that was also rained out. A raindate is not planned.

Racing action will return to the speedway this Sunday, June 22, when North Norwich and Rothwell's Used Auto Sales presents Student Night featuring a regular show of DIRT 358-Modifieds, DIRT Sportsman, DIRT Pro Stocks, and Pure Stocks. Any student with a passing report card will be admitted to the races for free. Also scheduled for competition is the one on one spectator races. Any specatator can compete in the spectator event as long as their vehicle is street legal, insured, and the driver wears a helmet.

Utica-Rome Speedway is located in Vernon, New York just minutes for New York State Thruway Exit 33. Racing is scheduled every Sunday for late April to mid-September with 358-Modifieds, Sportsman, Pro Stocks, and Pure Stocks as the regular show.
