ATLANTA-The Steve Dale Motorsports team is excited about taking the echosource83.com Pontiac to Memphis Motorsports Park for the Memphis 200. The track fits the team and although the driver, Joey Clanton, has never raced there, many of the crew have.

"Both crew chiefs, Gene Roberts and Jack Long, have been there with other cars, and so have a couple of other team members," said Clanton. "The tracks where we have done well this season are similar to Memphis. With the experience this team has at Memphis, we should be in really good shape."

"Memphis is the type of track where you use all three things in your racing package. You have to have the motor, the aerodynamics and the chassis all right on the money, and that is where this team shines," commented Roberts.

Although there has been a lot of talk about the nine-race grind on the ASA schedule, Roberts feels it has helped the team. It has both tempered and strengthened the team dynamic, while also providing increased focus.

"As a team, we are stronger now than we were when this nine race stretch began," continued Roberts. "It has been a plus for the team. We have stepped up everything in the program to compensate for the schedule. Instead of being worn out, we are in good shape and extremely centered on our goals."

The next race for the echosource83.com Pontiac is the Memphis 200 presented by Jani-King. The green flag will fly on Sunday, September 10 at 3 p.m. Eastern. TNN Sports will televise the event live.
