SUSSEX, Wis. - After claiming family bragging rights last weekend, Mark Dismore would like nothing more than to brag to everyone following this weekend's event. Dismore's record on fast half-mile ovals hasn't been too remarkable, but Dismore hopes to change his luck as he rolls into Winchester (Ind.) Speedway. The ASA ACDelco Series races at the legendary high-banks on Sunday for the 31st Annual Winchester 400, the longest event on the schedule.

"The track is extremely wild," Dismore said. "It's going to be a hard race and will take lots of concentration all day long. This race is 400 laps and will be mainly a survival race." Dismore's previous attempts on high-banked ovals have been disastrous for the youngster from Greenfield, Ind. Although each time Dismore was fast, he was unfortunately caught up in incidents beyond his control.

Dismore and Herzog Motorsports teammate, Ricky Johnson, tested at the track a couple weeks ago and were pleased with the results. "We were pretty good in testing," Dismore explains. "I got a feel for the track and I think we ended up with a good set-up for the car. Hopefully, the Monster.com/WorldBestBuy.com Chevrolet will stay the same when we show back up to race."

"We need to finish the race so we don't lose any points positions," Dismore continues. With only two races remaining in the ASA season, Dismore currently sits 17th in the point standings, after moving up two positions following the event at Indianapolis Raceway Park last week. Dismore was also able to overtake Larry Foyt for fourth position in the Pat Schauer Memorial Rookie of the Year points.
