SUSSEX, Wisc. - Mark Dismore and the No. 44 Monster.com/WorldBestBuy.com team want to show everybody what they are capable of when they roll into Nashville, Tennessee. The ASA ACDelco Series races at Nashville Speedway USA on Sunday, May 21 for the running of the "BFGoodrich Tires 300."
The No. 44 Herzog Motorsports Chevrolet Monte Carlo has entered the past two ASA events at the Nashville track. With driver Jimmie Johnson, finishes resulted in a third and a second. Dismore, now piloting the No. 44 knows finishes like these are indicative of how strong the team is and hopes to place within the top-five himself.
"I want to qualify in the top-20," Dismore said. The past few events Dismore has relied on provisionals to gain entry into the race. "We must qualify well or I'll crash trying. In the race, I want to stay out of trouble and pick up a top-five. I want to show everyone what this team can do."
Dismore recently tested the facility with teammate Ricky Johnson. "The test went well. Ricky says Nashville is the most aggressive track we race on, so testing gets me more comfortable with the track and the car. Hopefully, we'll be able to apply it to this weekend."
Dismore sits 17th in the ASA Series points standings and is the third highest rookie driver, only 33 points behind second place in the Pat Schauer Memorial Rookie-of-the-Year Award standings.
Herzog Motorsports is a successful, championship-winning race team. Based in Los Angeles, California; St. Joseph, Missouri; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Herzog Motorsports fields two teams in the ASA ACDelco Series.
The fifth event on the 2000 ASA ACDelco Series schedule is set to begin on Sunday, May 21 at 3 p.m. E.S.T. TNN Sports will televise the "BFGoodrich Tires 300" live from Nashville Speedway USA.
