MADISON, Wis. - Mark Dismore and the No. 44 Monster.com/WorldBestBuy.com Chevrolet finished 25th in the ACDelco Factory Motor Parts 300 on Saturday evening from the Madison International Speedway. For the fifth consecutive week, Dismore has been involved in an altercation that has taken the Herzog Motorsports entry out of contention for a good showing.

"We tried something different with the shocks this week," Dismore said. "It made the car better than at some of the short tracks we've already raced. I was looking forward to the race. I knew we would be quick after being able to test there, then after practice and qualifying."

Dismore was able to pick up six spots on the first lap after an incident with the leaders caused a pile up. Dismore dove low and was up to seventh place following lap one. Dismore maintained position until the next caution when he pitted for tires and an adjustment.

"We worked on the car the first stop," Dismore said. "The adjustment fixed the push in the corners. It was a great stop too. We were able to pick up six positions after that pit stop. I thought we were going to be good from that point on. The Monster.com/WorldBestBuy.com Chevy was running great."

On lap 169, while running eighth, Dismore was tagged from behind and spun. He was then hit by two other competitors, which damaged the rear end of the car. "I guess the No. 3 car lost his brakes and spun us out," Dismore explains. "I was just a sitting duck then and I got clobbered. This is really getting frustrating. Eventually, we will have to have some good luck."

Dismore qualified 13th fastest for the 14th event on the 2000 ASA ACDelco Series schedule, placing the No. 44 Monster.com/WorldBestBuy.com Chevrolet on the inside of row seven.
