SUSSEX, Wisc. - Before running the last ASA ACDelco Series race at Nashville Speedway USA, Mark Dismore set his goals of qualifying in the top-20 and finishing in the top-five. Dismore accomplished both of his objectives by starting 17th and finishing fifth in the No. 44 Monster.com/WorldBestBuy.com Chevrolet Monte Carlo. After a three-week hiatus, Dismore states he has set no goals for the sixth event on the 2000 schedule at Louisville Motor Speedway on Saturday evening.
"It was nice to have a few weeks off, but I'm ready to get back," Dismore said. "I don't know too much about Louisville. We didn't test there, so all I'm going to do is drive as hard as I can and see where we end up."
Courtesy of the computer game NASCAR '99, Dismore has been able to test his skills on the challenging short track. "I tried it out, but you don't get a real feel for the track," Dismore said. "It's not too realistic, so I'm not going to justify my feelings on the track until I get there on Friday."
Dismore sits 14th in the ASA Series points standings, only 30 points out of the top-ten and is second in the Pat Schauer Memorial Rookie-of-the-Year Award standings.
