LAKELAND, FL - Chris Fontaine of Lakeland will run 23 ASA Late Model Series races in 2007, driving the Finish Line Race Cars Chevrolet.
"We have two new Chevrolet's ready for this season in ASA Series late model racing and the team feels we are right on schedule," said Fontaine.
Fontaine will open the ASA season on March 3rd at San Antonio Speedway, a one-half mile track in Texas. Fontaine will compete at 11 different United States tracks and one in Canada this season.
His numbers are moving in the right direction and a dose of a few wins could make for a top points finish.
Fontaine finished second in points in All American Challenge Series racing at Bradenton FL on their three-eighths mile Desoto facility. Overall career stats for Super Late Models from 2003-2006 were four wins, 37 top fives and 63 top 10's.
"We've been so close to several championships, but were just squeezed out - we know the pain, Fontaine said.
This team is ready to move forward according to Fontaine and a new series could be just the right medicine for this CFR Racing team.
