DISSAPOINTED DENNEWITZ IN FT. WAYNE

5/7/05 Ft. Wayne, IN- Joey Dennewitz and his Eagle Motorsports/ Owens Corning team failed to qualify for the first ASA Late Model Series date at Baer Field Speedway in Ft. Wayne, IN.

"We are more embarrassed than disappointed. We made some mistakes chasing our tail in practice and a rule change that we didn't know about definitely put us behind the eight ball. It is disappointing not only for myself, but for my sponsors and crew as well" said Dennewitz.

Dennewitz just missed the cut, posting 21st of the 38 cars attempting to qualify for the UB Machine 100. Because of his rookie status, there were no provisional points to set him in the field of 26 starters.

"That was the fastest we have ever gone here. If someone told me yesterday that the lap we just ran would be going home, I would have called them crazy. It just proves how competitively tough the ASA Late Model Series really is. We came to play, and we will be back at Calhoun" said Dennewitz.

The next race for Dennewitz and the Eagle Motorsports/ Owens Corning team will be at Calhoun County Speedway in Springport, MI on May 14th. For more information on Joey Dennewitz and the ASA Late Model Series, visit www.joeydennewitz.com and www.asalatemodels.com
