VERNON, NY - Many of the top Dirt Late Model teams of the Northeastern United States will be heading to the New Utica-Rome Speedway in Vernon on Thursday August 17 for the $4000 to win (200 to start) inaugural event of the United Late Model Series (ULMS).

ULMS Promoter Chris Zuver promises a great field of cars trying to qualify for the 25-car starting field at the lightning fast Utica-Rome half-mile clay oval. Some of the drivers heading to Utica-Rome race at a mixture of tracks, such as Penn Can (PA), Skyline (NY), McKean County (OH), Raceway 7 (OH) and the rest spend their time traveling to STARS or MACS shows.

All Late Models must weight 2300 lbs., and each car will run under the UDTRA body rules. In addition, radios and wheel or rear end drapes are not allowed. Utica-Rome Speedway will accept MACS, STARS, MCR, Skyline, Penn Can, and ULMS Licenses from the teams.
