Mooresville, NC (Thursday, August 21,2003) ASA Rookie contender Davin sites heads back to PA for the second time in two weeks, in hope that the outcome of the Erie 250 turns out better for the DSM team than the Jennnerstwon 250 which turned into the Jennerstown 137due to heavy storms.
With Mother Nature not favoring the DSM team or ASA Fans for the Jennnerstown 250, Scites and the DSM crew hope that the outcome from the ERIE 250 plays out in better favor!
"We had the best car we have had since Concord! We didn't play the rain strategy when we came in from running third, to pit we were running the whole 250 lap strategy to finish the race". Said Scites "If we had our ducks in a row on the weather, we could have easily won the race withier it was 137 laps or the planned 250, we were fast and determined to bring the #06 Chevy to Victory lane". Replied Davin
Scites didn't bring his Chevy Monte Carlo to Victory lane, but he had a good solid finish in 12th position, considering the delay in the pits in front of him and the Rain.
Davin and the DSM crew know that the 2003 season is coming to an end and the competition is getting stronger, and they like many other teams want to end the year at the top of the list.
ASA Rookie contender Davin Scites is looking forward to Erie, considering that this is just not only his first time on the track but the first attendance for the American Speed Association itself.
"I'm excited about this track, I've heard good things about it and I planned on testing there before this race but weather again didn't permit," Quoted Scites.
Scites is planning on being a 2004 ASA contender if things work out with a full-time sponsor, Scites at the present time is 4th in Rookie standings and hopes that improves by the end of the year.
The ERIE 250 will take place with Qualifying Saturday, August 23rd, and the race will go green Sunday, August 24th at 2:00 on SPEED!
