NASCAR Veteran Kenny Wallace Enters July 3 Domino's Pizza Grassroots Nationals at The Dirt Track

CONCORD, N.C. (June 10, 2005) - NASCAR veteran Kenny Wallace is scheduled to compete in the IMCA modified portion of the Domino's Pizza Grassroots Nationals Sunday night, July 3, at The Dirt Track @ Lowe's Motor Speedway.

Currently fifth in the NASCAR Busch Series point standings, Wallace recently showed his dirt-track racing prowess by topping an all-star field that included Tony Stewart, Dave Blaney, Bill Elliott and Red Farmer to win the NEXTEL Prelude to The Dream late model event at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.

The July 3 Domino's Pizza Grassroots Nationals will be Wallace's first appearance at The Dirt Track, but is among more than 20 IMCA-style modified races the St. Louis, Mo., native plans to run this season.

He will drive the red and yellow No. 36 Stacker 2 modified known as "The Hermenator." The car was built and is maintained by Wallace's longtime friend Donnie Jumper who owns Impressive Race Cars, a Hillsboro, Mo., company that manufactures dirt-track modifieds.

The Domino's Pizza Grassroots Nationals will be highlighted by a 20-lap feature for IMCA Modifieds, a 20-lap finale for Stock Four-Cylinders and the wild-and-wacky CRASHCars. A full slate of heat and last chance races are also on tap for the modifieds and four-cylinders.

The program will conclude with a colossal fireworks extravaganza.

Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with hot laps set for 6:45. Opening ceremonies are slated for 7:15 p.m. with the first heat race going green at 7:30. The fireworks spectacular will follow the racing action at approximately 10:15 p.m.

If purchased in advance, tickets for the Domino's Pizza Grassroots Nationals featuring The Dirt Track Fireworks Show are just $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. All adult tickets are $5 more the day of the event. Parking at The Dirt Track is free.

To purchase tickets, visit www.lowesmotorspeedway.com or call 1-800-455-FANS.
