Justin Wakefield scores first career late model victory; late model rookie takes winners honors at Rome International Speedway.

(Woodstock, GA) Justin Wakefield led all 30 laps at Rome International Speedway on August 5th to capture his first career dirt late model victory in the #17 Woodstock Auto Exchange/Temples Construction sponsored GRT Race Cars Monte Carlo. Wakefield sat on the outside pole along side pole sitter, Ronnie Johnson, took the lead on lap 1, and powered his way to his first career dirt late model victory.

"The win feels good, real good," comments Wakefield a week after his win."I started on the outside pole, stayed smooth and high and lead flag to flag. Everybody that believed in me and said that I could do it, I owe it too them."

Wakefield has been on a tear of consistency throughout the past two weekends by posting two straight top-5 finishes, and a top-10 finish this past Saturday night at Dixie Speedway (8/10).

This up coming weekend Justin will travel to Batesville Speedway in Batesville, AR for the $40,000 to win"Topless 100." " It will definitely be an experience going to Batesville for the Topless," suggests Justin."I am really looking forward too it, and if anything, I am just going to get some more seat time at different tracks and experience."

Justin can been seen on the SPEED Channel on September 11 at 11:00pm where the young rookie driving sensation placed 8th in the UDTRA PRO DirtCar Series event at Dixie Speedway.

Justin's racing efforts are sponsored by Woodstock Auto Exchange and Temples Construction with chassis supplied through GRT Race Cars by Clint Smith Racing and horsepower by RaceTek Engines.
